Beam line systems are complex and rely on dependencies between multiple computers and devices. A failure in one part of the system can cause faults in multiple and non-obvious places.
 

Below we describe the most common and simple issues that can occur that are also user fixable. Some issues require more in depth fixes by the BL staff.

 

The main approach to troubleshooting is to not be too bold. Initiative is not a virtue. You should never try to fix issues without BL staff advice or aren't outlined on these webpages.
